How is the score calculated?
The health score is a weighted average of three categories that reflect different aspects of engineering team performance:
- Output (35%)Measures throughput based on PRs merged per developer per week. Teams merging around 3 PRs per developer per week score highest.
- Quality (30%)Based on review coverage — the percentage of PRs that receive at least one code review before merging. Higher coverage indicates stronger quality practices.
- Process (35%)Derived from average PR cycle time — how long it takes from opening a PR to merging it. Faster cycle times indicate healthier development workflows.
