Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using CodeVitals, you agree to these terms. If you're using CodeVitals on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. What CodeVitals Does

CodeVitals is an engineering intelligence platform that connects to your GitHub repositories to analyse team activity and generate health scores, insights, and coaching recommendations. We analyse commit metadata and PR activity — we do not read or store your source code.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when signing up. One person or organisation per account — don't share account access.

4. Plans and Billing

  • Free plan includes limited features as described on our pricing page.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods, but we'll work with you if something goes wrong.

5. Acceptable Use

Don't use CodeVitals to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Abuse the API or circumvent rate limits.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of CodeVitals is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your data. We only access the GitHub data you explicitly authorise through the GitHub App installation.

7. AI-Generated Content

CodeVitals uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate insights, scores, and recommendations. These are informational and should not be the sole basis for employment decisions. AI outputs may contain errors — always apply your own judgement.

8. Availability and Liability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. CodeVitals is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months prior to any claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
